Interrupted by reality while dreaming
I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn't say any other way, things I had no words for.
Georgia O'keeffe.
Moving away from the safe, with no more restrictions.
These 4 paintings where made because I felt like i was not painting for myself anymore. I constantly worried about what people would want to buy . Whether the colour would suit a modern day home. Things that I never used to worry about. When you paint for a living it's the most amazing thing, but with this amazement comes discipline, responsibility, business skills, lots of money matters and worries.
I was restricting myself and not thinking about what i wanted to paint, but about what will suit the market- Artist prostitution!!!!
These 4 paintings was about what I want, think and feel. There is lots of brush strokes and bright colours. These paintings are full of emotions and energy.
